BOM Weather

BOM Weather is the official weather app of the Bureau of Meteorology, providing users with accurate and up-to-date weather information. The app offers a range of features to help users stay informed about current conditions, forecasts, past weather data, warnings, radar images, and more. In terms of current conditions, the app displays information such as temperature, weather icon, "feels like" temperature, minimum and maximum temperatures, possible rainfall range, current weather description, wind speed and gust, humidity, and rain since am. The app also provides forecasts for up to hours, including temperature, rain, wind direction and speed, fire danger rating, UV Index, sun protection, sunrise and sunset times, and moon phases. Additionally, it offers a waters forecast that includes information on wind, seas, swell, tides, and a summary for the upcoming days. Furthermore, BOM Weather allows users to access past weather data for the previous hours, including temperature, rain, and wind observations. It also provides weather warnings for the user's current location and allows them to set up warning notifications for up to three locations. The app features a radar function that shows observed and forecasted rainfall for the past and future minutes, a pan and zoom rain radar map, and the ability to mark the user's location on the radar map. Other notable features of the app include the ability to search for any location in Australia, save favorite locations, use the "Move with me" feature to track the user's current location, choose between a weather mood background and night-time mode, quickly access the rain radar, resize the font in device settings for better accessibility, view the app in landscape or portrait mode, and switch to dark mode for a more comfortable viewing experience.
