Miami-Dade Transit (MDT) has launched a mobile app that provides real-time information on transit services in the Greater Miami area. The app offers a range of features, including a real-time bus, train and mover tracker, a trip planner, nearby stops and stations, mobile barcode/passes, a transit store, fares, rider alerts registration, current service updates, elevators/escalators status, special transportation services (STS), transit watch and a feedback zone. Users can view the location of their bus, train or mover car on a map, so they can visually track it as it approaches their stop/station. Live tracking is now available for all bus routes. The app also allows users to purchase a 1-Day or 7-Day mobile pass and manage existing EASY Cards, license plates for monthly parking and much more. The real-time bus, train and mover tracker feature of the app enables users to see the estimated arrival time of buses, trains, and mover cars approaching their stop/station. They can store their favorite stops and stations as favorites and view the location of their bus, train or mover car on a map, so they can visually track it as it approaches their stop/station. Live tracking is now available for all bus routes. The trip planner feature of the app allows users to conveniently plan their trip using public transportation from their current location to wherever they need to go. The nearby feature of the app enables users to view all nearby stops and stations, real-time vehicles and route alignments. They can scroll around the Miami-Dade County map and explore. The mobile barcode/passes feature of the app enables users to purchase a 1-Day or 7-Day mobile pass. The transit store feature of the app allows users to manage existing EASY Cards, license plates for monthly parking and much more. The fares feature of the app provides an easy-to-use list of transit fares. The rider alerts registration feature of the app enables users to register to get alerts from MDT whenever there are service updates, delays, disruptions or detours. Alerts are sent straight to their mobile device. The current service updates feature of the app enables users to instantly see which bus routes are being detoured, or if Miami-Dade Transit is operating under a different schedule during a special event or holiday. The elevators/escalators status feature of the app enables users to see which elevators or escalators are out service at Metrorail or Metromover stations so they can plan ahead. The special transportation services (STS) feature of the app enables users to book trips and get real-time estimated arrivals for their trips. The transit watch feature of the app enables users to quickly and easily report safety and security issues. The feedback zone feature of the app enables users to submit their complaints, concerns, comments and suggestions or report a safety issue.
