The app also allows for easy payment of parking tickets by simply taking a picture and processing it through the HotSpot app. Additionally, users can benefit from free or discounted parking through merchant validation and manage multiple vehicles and permits through the app. In select cities, HotSpot Transit provides users with the ability to purchase digital transit tickets, monthly passes, and view live transit maps to track bus locations. The app also offers a Trip Planner feature to help users identify the right bus to take and locate stops. HotSpot Taxi, also available in select cities, allows users to book taxis, receive dispatch notifications, pay the driver through the app, and rate their experience to contribute to service improvement. The app offers savings for CAA members in Canada, with an Annual Plan available at a discounted rate. Additionally, CAA Atlantic Canada provides a free HotSpot membership with their Premier package. HotSpot has also partnered with United Way to allow users to donate from unfinished parking sessions to support local community initiatives.
