InnoCaption Live Call Captions

InnoCaption is a free app designed to help individuals who are deaf or hard of hearing understand phone calls. The app provides real-time captioning, allowing users to see a transcription of what the other party is saying during a call. InnoCaption offers both live call captioning by stenographers and automated speech recognition (ASR) software, with the ability to switch between the two modes during a call. The app also provides contact syncing and the ability to mirror captions on a computer screen with DeskView. InnoCaption is available to seniors, veterans, and others with hearing loss on mobile phones, tablets, and computers. The app works with the user's current phone number and can be used like a regular phone dialer, with no need to call through a relay center. In addition to captioning phone calls, InnoCaption provides speech-to-text call transcripts and visual voicemail. The app also includes a spam filter and the ability to block high-risk calls. InnoCaption is FCC Certified and offers Spanish call captioning through ASR. However, the app's 911 calling feature is not recommended as the most reliable method of reaching emergency response personnel. A landline is still the best option for calling 911. InnoCaption requires a cellular data plan or Wi-Fi for usage.
