McDonald's Japan has launched a new feature on its app that allows customers to place an order and pay for it through their mobile phones. The Mobile Order feature enables customers to choose their preferred items, pick-up method, and payment method before arriving at the store. Once they arrive, they can confirm their payment and the restaurant will start preparing their order. The feature also offers great deals with the latest coupons, recommended specials tailored to customers' tastes, and details on ingredients, allergy information, and nutritional information. The app is now available in English, making it easier for non-Japanese speakers to use. To use the Mobile Order feature, customers need to sign in with their email, Facebook, or Twitter account, choose a store, pick the items they want, choose a pick-up method, and select a payment method. The app accepts VISA, Mastercard, JCB, Diners, and LINE Pay. Customers can also collect and use loyalty points with one tap by logging in with their Rakuten ID or Docomo D Account from the "Point Card" button in the upper-right corner of the screen. However, loyalty point services are not available for Mobile Order purchases. The app's English localization is available in most areas of the app, and the company plans to improve it in future versions. The Mobile Order feature is not available for Drive-Thru, but customers can choose counter, take-out, or table delivery* options. Table delivery is available at participating restaurants and during limited service hours. Customers are advised to park their cars and pick up their orders at the counter inside the store. The app's new feature is expected to reduce waiting times and improve the overall customer experience.
