Palisades Tahoe Ski Resort has launched an app that helps skiers and snowboarders make the most of their day on the slopes. The app offers real-time lift and trail status, including lift wait times, snow and weather data, and the ability to find and track friends on the slopes. Users can also track their ski day and season, including every run and lift they ride, their vertical feet, linear miles, max and average speed, and see where they stack up against other skiers and riders on the leaderboard. The app also allows users to purchase lift tickets, lessons, or lodging with ease. The app's real-time lift and trail status feature allows users to know which lifts are open, when they are scheduled to open, and which trails are groomed, all in real-time. Users can track every chairlift's wait time with the app's crowd-sourced data, allowing them to maximize their time on the slopes. The app also provides real-time weather data, including how much it snowed in the last 24 hours and overnight, along with the 7-day total and base depth. The app's find and track your friends on the slopes feature allows users to create their own private group to stay connected with friends on the slopes. Users can see exactly what run or lift each person in their group is riding, in real-time, and their percentage down the trail, as well as their current location on the resort map. Users can also send location-aware messages to their group by using the quick messages feature and let them know where conditions are sweet. When users see the “#” in their quick message, their location will automatically be dropped into the message.
