Section 1: Sound Amplifier is an Android app that helps people who are hard of hearing to better access everyday conversations and surrounding sounds. It uses your Android phone and a pair of headphones to filter, augment, and amplify sounds. It is available for devices with Android 8.1 and later. To start using Sound Amplifier, connect your headphones then go to Settings > Accessibility > Sound Amplifier or Settings > Accessibility > Downloaded apps. Section 2: Sound Amplifier has several features, including reducing unwanted noise to recognize speech better, focusing on a speaker’s voice in noisy environments with conversation mode, personalizing your listening experience, and turning Sound Amplifier on and off using the accessibility button, a gesture, or Quick Settings. It also has certain requirements, such as being available for Android 8.1 and later, and pairing your Android device with headphones. Section 3: Users can send feedback on Sound Amplifier by emailing sound-amplifier-help@google.com, and can connect with Google for help using Sound Amplifier at g.co/disabilitysupport.
