About Full Code Medical Simulation

Full Code is a medical simulation platform that challenges healthcare professionals to solve complex clinical cases in a realistic 3D emergency room. With over 150 scenarios, including common occurrences, trauma cases, pediatric patients, life-threatening illnesses, and obscure diseases, Full Code offers a diverse range of challenges for medical students, residents, paramedics, nurses, PAs, and experienced physicians. The platform adds 2 new scenarios each month and frequently covers clinical hot-topics, allowing users to earn CME credit hours with realistic medical simulation. Full Code's clinical practice feature allows users to take a history and perform a physical exam, order tests and perform interventions using a range of drugs, bedside tests, labs, and imaging to help narrow the differential diagnosis. The platform's physiology engine changes the vitals based on the user's interventions and the patient's condition, just as they would in real life. Users can consult with specialists and nursing staff for assistance, but the patient's survival ultimately rests in their hands. At the end of each case, users receive a score in six core clinical competencies to guide their continuing education. They can run through the case as many times as they like to improve their score and hone their resuscitation skills. Full Code also provides detailed debrief notes that walk users through each case's essential diagnostic and therapeutic interventions required to save the patient. Further reading is available through high-quality relevant web-links and references related to each case. The Full Code team prioritizes environmental fidelity in every case, striving to replicate the complexity of managing critically ill patients from presentation to disposition. The medical content of each case is created by a team of emergency physicians led by James Kimo Takayesu, a Harvard faculty member and ED attending at Massachusetts General Hospital with 15 years of experience training emergency medicine residents. Each case is peer-reviewed twice, and the team continuously updates the clinical content to reflect the best in clinical and educational practice.
